Overview

The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) has an opening for a one year part-time (15 hrs/wk) Network Resource Assistant with the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) in our Grand Rapids, Michigan office. As part of the ‘One Click’ initiative, this position will facilitate the online cataloguing of resources developed or recommended by Christian Reformed Church ministries. POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title/Code:  Network Resource Assistant

Department:     Ministry Support Services

Status:             Part-time (15 hours/week), non-exempt

 

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:


As part of the One Click initiative and with guidance from the Network’s Community and Content Manager:

  1. Support ministry staff in their efforts to place CRC-produced/recommended resources into the central resource database. Develop written instructions, offer hands-on training, and answer questions as needed.
  2. Review the resources that already exist in the database, looking for items that should be removed or recategorized to ensure consistency.
  3. Help identify gaps in our resource offerings, and communicate with ministry staff to fill gaps (especially Connections Project coaches/catalyzers).
  4. Other Network-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Able to support the vision, mission and values of the Christian Reformed Church.
  2. Demonstrated competence with web-based tools, include G Suite (Google Apps) products.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and classification/categorization of information.
  4. Good follow through and ability to organize one’s own work.
  5. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people.
  6. Ability to write and edit text with attention to grammar standards.

Additional Information

  1. Some college coursework required.
  2. Knowledge of and experience in a variety of church ministries (as a participant or leader).
