The Christian Reformed Church in North America, has a part-time (16 hrs/wk) position opening for a Korean Coffee Break Representative. This position will promote and support regional Coffee Break Ministry in Korean U.S. churches, including CRCNA Korean churches, by connecting leaders to a leadership community, training, leader care and coaching

  1. Build the Coffee Break Ministry learning community  and provide leader care:
    a. Identify and connect with Coffee Break Ministry leaders through email, phone, online and/or in person. Ministry leaders include Coffee Break Directors, Coordinators, Small Group Bible Discovery Leaders, Story Hour and Little Lambs Leaders.
    b. Update Coffee Ministry Data base
    c. Coach and support leaders
    d. Identify needs of local Coffee Break Ministry Leaders.
    e. Identify, write and share stories of mission and learning in local Coffee Break communication formats.
    f. Set up Coaching Cluster or regional shared leaning gatherings for Coffee Break Ministry leaders
    g. Set up workshops (Coffee Break, Story Hour/Little Lambs) for designated region
    h. Promote and market Coffee Break Ministry by connecting with churches and ministries in your region
  2. Facilitate Coffee Break small group coaching clusters and workshops
  3. Attend required annual training events.
  4. Attend and participate in conferences related to Coffee Break Ministry.
  5. Participate in the Coffee Break Ministry Leadership Team Meetings and in areas of specialization.

Supervisory Responsibilities



  1. Ability to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA
  2. Experience and/or demonstrated personal maturity in a relationship with Jesus, a vital prayer life, a love for the Word of God, a heart for evangelism, sensitivity for people, passion for the Kingdom and the mission of God
  3. Experience in training, public speaking, and identifying leaders required
  4. Clear, confident oral and written communication
  5. Self-starter with time management disciplines
  6. Demonstrated competency with word processing

Additional Information

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. At least two years work experience.
