    Resonate Global Mission, a ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) has an opportunity for a Communications Internship for Winter 2019.  This internship is an opportunity to get real-world experience with writing, branding, and marketing. The intern will engage our support community frequently and on a deeper level through connections online and in print. To apply, please complete an on-line application.     This internship is an opportunity to get real-world experience with writing, branding, and marketing. We will use the intern’s strengths and help them develop the experience and expertise they need to find a job.  The intern will engage our support community more frequently and on a deeper level through connections online and in print.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties

    1. Write and edit articles for various channels such as The Banner, newsletters, email, and CRC News.
    2. Assist the communications team in preparing copy for brochures, inserts, ads, and promotions.
    3. Assist the communications team in social media strategy, content development, execution, and reporting.
    4. Assist with creative writing and story development.
    5. Complete administrative tasks as needed, such as contacting donors and preparing donor communications.
    6. Explore innovative ways to build online community, including website, social media, and email.
    7. Explore innovative ways to build online brand, including website, social media, and email.
    8. Research best practices for communications initiatives as assigned and prepare reports to assist the team.
    9. Assist the multimedia producer with management of the photo library.
    10. Give creative input on communications and other projects.
    11. Contribute to the overall communication strategy with new ideas.

    Qualifications

    1. Classroom or workplace experience with communications, marketing, writing, branding, or similar areas.
    2. Demonstrated creative writing skills.
    3. Desire to work in the non-profit sector.
    4. Mature faith in Jesus Christ.
    5. Task-oriented, organized, with good time-management skills.
    6. Desire and ability to creatively contribute and generate new and original ideas.
    7. Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
    8. Inspires others with enthusiasm and energy.
    9. GPA 3.0 or higher.
