  • Overview

    The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) has a full-time (40 hrs/wk) opening for a Salesforce Administrator in our Grand Rapids, Michigan offices. This position will work within the applications team to (a) ensure the security and availability of key CRCNA data, (b) design, test, and implement database improvements related to the CRCNA’s multiple Salesforce.com org(s), and (c) work with users to facilitate their work related to data collection, data analysis, and business process.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following

    1. Work with stakeholders across the organization to understand current and future needs related to data collection, data analysis, and business process.
    2. Develop and test customizations to Salesforce database structure, process automation, and user interfaces to help users reach their goals more efficiently.
    3. Investigate/evaluate the use of third party functionality as solutions to user needs where applicable.
    4. Run and evaluate user tests to enhance usability and user experience of database systems.
    5. Clarify user requests and prepare reports needed for business processes and decision making.
    6. Create and maintain documentation related to database systems, business procedures, and information vital for the department.
    7. Demonstrate Salesforce.com functionality and communicate changes to users individually or in group settings.
    8. Answer end user questions and troubleshoot complex issues as needed.
    9. Maintain current Salesforce.com Administrator certification and seek education/certification in Salesforce.com, Force.com or other relevant technologies.

    Additional Information

    1. Some college/university coursework is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
    2. At least 1 year work experience with database structures is required (Salesforce, MS SQL, Access, complex Excel spreadsheets, etc). Salesforce experience preferred.
    3. At least 2 years work experience working with end users or customers to help identify and solve complex problems is required.

    CERTIFICATIONS

    Current Salesforce.com Administrator certification needs to be obtained within 1 year.
